About Dakshini Foundation

Dakshini Foundation is a committed initiative focused on supporting underserved communities in both the USA and India. We provide financial assistance to NGOs, hospitals, and various charitable organizations in India to address urgent needs. In the United States, we engage in a wide range of community service activities, including bake sales, toy drives, cooking and feeding the hungry, running marathons to raise funds for orphans, and preparing breakfasts for first responders in our local communities.

Under the Dakshini Foundation umbrella, we also foster two key community engagement programs. The first is JOY (Just Older Youth), a Senior Engagement Program that encourages older individuals to share their insights and life experiences. This program advocates for social participation and helps strengthen bonds within the community and beyond.

The second program is MILESTONE, a Youth Leadership Program designed to provide transformative experiences for young people. This initiative helps youth gain confidence, leadership skills, and a global perspective, empowering them to lead change both within themselves and their communities.

Through our JOY (Just Older Youth) initiative, Dakshini Foundation invited the elderly members of the community to a special event at a local community hall. The day was filled with compassion, joy, meaningful conversations, cultural activities, and delicious food. It was an opportunity to celebrate their wisdom and experiences, fostering an environment of warmth, connection, and appreciation.

Dakshini MILESTONE JOY

The Dakshini Team invited senior members of the community as part of the JOY program to a beautiful park, where they were engaged in meaningful and thoughtful discussions. We shared ideas on senior care and ways to enhance their well-being.
